Emsella® pelvic floor treatment · Bairnsdale
A discreet, non-invasive way to strengthen the pelvic floor. Remain fully clothed during a comfortable 28-minute session, with no expected downtime.

Who is Emsella for?
Pelvic floor symptoms are common and can affect confidence, intimacy and everyday life. A private clinical assessment helps determine what is causing your symptoms and whether Emsella is an appropriate part of your care.
Leaks with coughing, sneezing, laughing, lifting or exercise, as well as urgency, frequency or difficulty holding on.
Pelvic floor weakness following pregnancy and birth, once recovery is medically appropriate.
Pelvic floor strengthening after radical prostatectomy, with clearance from your treating clinician.
For suitable women and men where pelvic floor weakness may be contributing to reduced function or confidence.
Difficulty controlling wind or stool, or a feeling of incomplete emptying, can involve the pelvic floor. These symptoms need assessment first; Emsella is not suitable for every bowel concern.
For suitable people who find it difficult to correctly activate their pelvic floor muscles or want additional strengthening support.
Why people choose Emsella
Emsella uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. During each 28-minute session, the technology produces approximately 11,200 pelvic floor muscle contractions while you remain fully clothed and comfortably seated.
In Australia, Emsella is included in the ARTG for pelvic floor muscle strengthening in the treatment of specified genitourinary conditions. A clinical screening is completed before treatment because it is not suitable for everyone.
What Emsella actually does
The chair uses HIFEM technology to repeatedly contract the pelvic floor muscles—approximately 11,200 times during a 28-minute session. This provides consistent muscle activation without you having to perform each contraction yourself.
You may feel tingling and strong, rhythmic contractions. Jo adjusts the intensity with you throughout the session, and it can be reduced or stopped at any time.
Talk with Jo about your symptoms →Jo helps position you on the chair so the treatment targets the pelvic floor muscles.
The intensity is increased gradually to a strong but comfortable level that suits you.
The session takes approximately 28 minutes, with no expected recovery time afterwards.
